You should definitely check the post's date. >:P

PS: BlueSky doesn't verifiy "createdAt" timestamps on the backend! Which allows for posting text, images, and videos from past years even though it's currently 2024. Could definitely be used for misinformation (or harmless posts).

No, copying to your timeline on Facebook does nothing. That web site is run by a malign actor. That screenshot is not actually from a real article. I could go on. Use your brains before clicking please!

One thing I don’t think is super well known is that the original Andrew Wakefield paper in 1998 that basically started the modern anti-vax movement and has since been super-duper-retracted because it’s fraudulent and full of shit was a descriptive “study” of a grand total of just *12* children.

Claims of Chinese researchers breaking "military grade encryption" with a quantum computer are totally overblown. They attacked a trivial 22 bit key and used a quantum annealing architecture. Still not cryptographically relevant and not a quantum computer. Still not breaking RSA!

It's called Paul, it has its own account, and we all pretend it's a member of the Bluesky team.

The LLM behind it's posts isn't bad, but please don't point out its mistakes. Feelings may get hurt.
