Bingo. Both my girls had it too when they were babies and I am SO thankful that they had vaccines.

I do not understand how parents/voters in FL are ok with this. "Owning the libs" by letting your children potentially die is ... something.
About this Florida vaccine story:

When they were little - 1 yr and 3 1/2 - my two older boys, who’d had all their shots, got whooping cough.

We asked their pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated.

“Oh, they’d have died.”

Heads up, Houston Blusky-ers! Storms are ripping across parts of Montgomery/NW Harris Co. moving around 40 mph with lightning, heavy downpours and even some pea size hail. Storms should pass within 30 min max.

Low end chance (but still not zero) that this thingy ramps up to a short-lived tropical depression before landfall near Brownsville Fri. afternoon. Beefed up tropical downpours for us Friday through Sat. afternoon. No wash out but more widespread rain chances for sure.

“.. Within about three minutes of the crash, the Model S uploaded a “collision snapshot”—video, CAN‑bus streams, EDR data, etc.—to Tesla’s servers .. The vehicle then deleted its local copy, resulting in Tesla being the only entity having access.”

Still one of my WAY underrated favs of the 1980s
Just a reminder that once upon a time they made a buddy cop film with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines in the lead, with Jimmy Smits, Joey Pantoliano and Dan Hedaya in supporting roles, and IT WAS PERFECT.

If only we knew why the air has way more water vapor now more than ever ... 🤔
There have been multiple flash floods across the U.S. since the start of July. Each was unique. Each happened in a few hours. Each occurred at the time of year weather experts call “flash flood month.” Here's what to know. nyti.ms/3Ufzynz

I feel that the current push to roll back EV development/support from the federal gov't will be a critical mistake over the next few decades. Terrible decision
For literally decades climate hawks and progressives have warned that internal combustion will die off and the tech of the future is electric + battery power and that if we didn’t seize the initiative China would eat our lunch and…welp!
China is probably going to pass 50% EV new car sales this year. ICE technology is a dead man walking www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

ZOMG- A BILLION percent this! I cannot like this statement enough.
You can’t shrink government to the size where you can drown it in a bathtub and then be surprised when it can’t rescue people from a flood.

Most insane presser I’ve seen in a while. They are desperate to ignore any blame from the local level
WTF: Texas Gov. Abbott talking about football right now during a presser about the flash floods…saying that only losers ask questions like who’s to blame.

👇🏻👇🏻 wanna know who thinks climate change is real? Insurance companies. This is going to be a massive problem in the 2030s
Like I've said before, if you have any doubts about climate change, just go to a super-boring insurance conference and listen to the super-boring panels where they dryly talk about the growing threat of disasters so catastrophic and unpredictable in scope they simply cannot be insured at any price.
