First time I heard of this story I didn’t see a picture. Now I know why. Educated Black man, Olympian, special forces, multiple graduate degrees. They hate this.

I’m quick to criticize Dems when they screw up so it’s only fair that I praise them when they do right. Blocking this awful transphobic bill was nonnegotiable and I’m very glad they did.
I want to quickly say how significant it is that after the last election, Dems have held relatively strong on trans rights, even on sports.
Senators in battleground states are not flipping.
Their one scuff was the NDAA, where some did flip.
Budget fight is next though.

School vouchers are a re-segregation tax, in which everyone is forced to pay the most racist white people so they can avoid sending their kids to schools with minorities.

As voucher programs expand, they worsen. In states with universal voucher programs, more of the public monies go to students already in private school and to wealthier families.
GOP states are embracing vouchers. Wealthy parents are benefitting.
Most of the beneficiaries are incoming kindergarteners or students already enrolled in private schools.
