2 days prior, the North American toxicology specialty assoc’s, @acmtmedtox.bsky.social & @aactinfo.bsky.social, warned that nalmefene has 'limited data regarding its use in fentanyl overdose' & 'should not be considered the first-line agent for opioid reversal until more robust data are available.’
Now the FDA Wants Nalmefene to Be a Fentanyl-Exposure “Prophylactic"
TH104 is intended for military and first responders to self-administer. The FDA will reportedly accept the application without new trials.
