Unveiling the cover for THE DRAGON HAS SOME COMPLAINTS!

Garrodigh is a curmudgeonly three-headed dragon who pretends to be tame so he can eat for free at the local dragon-riding academy. Unfortunately, the rider he's assigned to is... a lot.

Coming Summer 2026 from DAW (US) and Arcadia (UK)!

if you canceled disney ai slop plus, a small fraction of that sub can keep you in the know about some of the latest greatest sff short fic. you'll be talking about short stories at the water cooler instead of a marvel, and people will be like wow, this is one hip well-read person. what a cool cat.
In light of the astronomical increases for my health insurance next year, I thought it would be a good time to encourage people to subscribe. (A few hundred should cover it. Sigh.)

How am I supposed to get into Clair Obscur Expedition 33 if the first 32 games aren't even on Steam? Games preservation is dying.

This is such an obscenely great year for games that a lot of favorites couldn't make a ballot. Combing through Blue Prince with a friend is one of my favorite experiences I've had in games in my life.

I should make a trophy for the dev and just mail it to them.
I'm disappointed but not shocked to see Blue Prince miss the cut, given that it's English only and many of the judges are outside of the US/UK.

Not much suspense here - Clair Obscur is the fan favorite and has the best narrative (ex-Ubisoft devs go indie), even if there are more interesting games
The Game Awards GOTY nominees leaked:

-Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
-Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
-Donkey Kong Bananza
-Hades II
-Hollow Knight: Silksong
-Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

A Best Narrative category with no Citizen Sleeper 2, Dispatch, or Seance of Blake Manor?

Interesting.

This is the kind of response you live for. Made my day.
No matter how well you think you know the gods & heroes of Greek mythology, you won't be prepared for how thoroughly they will break your heart in @wiswell.bsky.social's Wearing the Lion. I finished it as the sun was coming up & am utterly smitten with his found family of beautiful monsters #booksky

The weird thing about pneumonia making me sleep so darned much is that I wind up awake for the most useless stretches of time. It's almost sunrise, might as well edit Chapter 33 of my weirdo dragon book.
