If pressed, Cotton would be fine with naval drone strikes on Arkansas drug dealers.
BERMAN: Would it be legal for police in Arkansas to kill suspected drug dealers on a boat in a lake?

TOM COTTON: The premise of your question is not well-founded

BERMAN: The answer is no. It would not be legal to kill them.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

MS NOW is complicit in this corrosion, repeatedly broadcasting the snuff films.

There is no excuse for MSNOW to show the videos of the bombed boats. We know what it looks like. By now, it is just snuff porn.

It is revolting that the DoD footage of boat strikes is being repeatedly shown on All in with @chrislhayes.bsky.social. It is virtually snuff porn

If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER.

Pete Hegseth Should Be Charged With Murder
No matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

I don’t think we talk enough about how U.S. made guns show up in every part of the immigration equation. Including guns made right here in my home state of Massachusetts, where I lead the work to prevent gun violence. So I wrote about it. 2/2 open.substack.com/pub/ruthzaka...

U.S. made guns are driving the violence that causes people to flee their countries, and guns are used to terrorize immigrants here in the U.S. And now a shooting by an immigrant is being used as a reason to further terrorize immigrants.

We can’t talk about immigration without talking about guns. 1/

Actually, the likelihood is 100%. In US jurisprudence, accused people are innocent until proven guilty. Hegseth's victims were not proven guilty; they were not even tried. Therefore they were ALL, to the last man, legally innocent. Hegseth ordered the murders of several dozen innocent men.
Rand Paul just posted this letter from the Coast Guard confirming that 1/4 of the boats they stop carry no contraband. The likelihood that Hegseth & Bradley ordered the murder of innocent civilians is very high.

Stalling on releasing the Epstein files and pardoning some drug dealers while killing others makes perfect sense through the lens of Trump Inc being a traditional organized crime family with branches in gambling, drugs and prostitution. He’s killing his rivals right out in the open.

This is all true but

1) under no definition are we currently at war with Venezuela under domestic US law

2) since we aren’t, the initial strike was just as much a murder as the follow up

The failure to understand this by a huge range of actors is really driving me up the wall.
If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

Tom Stoppard has died aged 88. His masterpiece is undoubtedly Arcadia - which is being revived early next year at The Old Vic - but for our delight and dazzlement, please can someone revive his blissfully funny The Real Inspector Hound?
Meanwhile, rewatch Brazil for which he wrote the screenplay.
