AWOOGA: FYI: If you see the BBC or any other UK news org scribing an illegal electric motorbike as a 'an e-bike' please contact them and inform them that it has been established that this is incorrect.

Let's spread the word.

We are concerned about recent talk about cuts to the Cycle to Work Scheme. Though the scheme has some limits, where other forms of transport present barriers to Disabled people, cycling can for some be a method of independent travel that is supported through the Cycle To Work Scheme.

While the Queen was on the throne, it was a different matter.

With her passing it's time to ask - perfectly reasonably - who the institution of monarchy serves and whether this one family should rule over us all in perpetuity... with almost zero accountability

She was arrested for holding a sign reading:

“I do not support the proscription of Palestine Action”

How that would warrant arrest is very unclear. I wonder if the police here even understand the boundaries of the bizarre law they’ve been forced to enforce.

Thought for the day:

Your 20's are a decade to find yourself. Your 40s are a decade to find the optimal arrangement of selves in heavily debt financed building you own.

Spending a decade watching a dedicated high speed railway between several of the UK's largest cities get repeatedly downgraded to what can now be described as an "electrified link" (currently being delivered on the existing line and delayed since the early 1990s) is radicalising.

These videos make me so happy, having played a small part in shifting transport policy in London towards proper segregated infrastructure for cycling, away from a slap of paint on a busy road. Just look at how many people will cycle if you make it safe and pleasant.

Doing my part by not having cable or satellite and watching none of it. There is no trust in American media anymore and I'll carry that for a lifetime.
Right-wing Sinclair Broadcasting owns all these local media stations and many others all across America. This is not journalism, it is scripted propaganda.

Happened to go into London to take my kid to the Transport Museum. Saw a lot of the people going to the protest. I really think it would help to make Westminster Dry eg alcohol free until 9pm.

I do think quite a few of them are there for a piss up.

Absolutely Loving how London cyclist have responded to the Tube strikes eg 'How great to see more people cycling' vs how motorists would have typically reacted in the past eg 'FFS why don't govt do something to stop the strike.'

The Embankment cycleway (CS3) in London was purposefully built to be wider than was usual in order to future proof it.

Some said it would hardly be used.

Now there’s a decent case for widening it further.

Induced demand is real.
