Two months ago Governor Healey "officials here follow the law. We are not a sanctuary state" I think it's high time to call out liberal complicity here. MA Dems need to put up or shut up and actually trust the reprehensible behavior of this administration.

It's funny thinking back to the argument that Dems couldn't get rid of the filibuster when they were in power because they'd miss it once the GOP was in power.

Students were told for years that, actually, hate speech was protected speech and what was needed at universities. They were told that heckling such speech was itself a sign of intolerance.

The Trump admin illegally stopped billions in grants/contracts including a $5m housing grant in my county, illegally closed agencies created by Congress, and illegally wrecked staffing across the government, but these Dem Senators want to give the GOP a blank check to do even more.
Don't take this as gospel. It's not official. It's a very knowledgable source's best understanding of the situation. This persons likely Yeses on cloture are. Schumer, Hassan, Peters, Durbin, Schatz, King, Shaheen, Fetterman, Cortez Masto and Gillibrand.

When I go into that ballot box, I ask myself one thing and one thing only: Can I persuade this senescent millionaire of the value of following a 9th-grade civics curriculum?
I love to call my Senators' offices three times per week and try to cajole them into doing the most elementary political messaging and strategy. This is what it means to be an engaged citizen: leaving a strenuously polite voicemail for a 74yo on a more regular cadence than I talk to my parents.

We need to shift the nepo baby conversation away from entertainment and on to guys who think they are God's gift to voters just because their Dad was the governor.
Andrew Cuomo is even worse than you imagined.

JD Vance talking about housing as a supply issue while part of the Tariffs and Construction Worker Deportations admin is basically the whole NatCon shtick writ large: you accurately diagnose the problem, talk eloquently about it’s impacts, then enthusiastically commit yourself to being part of it.

I found setting my home feed preferences to hide most replies made my feed a lot more manageable. Before that I just kept getting swamped by replies to the bigger accounts I followed.

This situation in Gaza has really caused people to reveal themselves in ways that has been really disheartening, but I've also seen some of the bravest shit and it is truly inspiring. Need to remind myself that.
