Ask a grey-haired pediatrician about how many lumbar punctures they used to have to do in a shift for infants that then ended up having Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) meningitis.

They're too young to realize how lucky they are to be vaccinated.
Their parents were reminded by me of how wise their choices were, though.
Their being vaccinated meant we had to do FAR less testing and extensive treatments than otherwise.

This group has more collective sexual assault allegations than the sex offender wing of a jail.
I see many people angrily rejecting the idea of breakfast clubs or free meals in schools because they don’t feel their taxes should contribute towards feeding other people’s children. How you can hear something like this and still maintain that children should be left to suffer is beyond me.
This is awful & heartbreaking. Schoolchildren from struggling families have pretended to eat out of empty lunchboxes to save their embarrassment at having no food.

Can someone explain why we don’t have (more?) schemes for non-violent criminals to carry out work in the community instead of a custodial sentence? There are so many jobs under the responsibility of local councils, for instance, that don’t get done due to lack of resources.
