Steve Daines and Troy Downing are full of jibber jabber about how bad the Affordable Care Act is, but neither of them seem to have one single idea for how to do anything better.

(For chrissake, Daines has been in Congress for 12 YEARS and we still don't know what his health care plan is).

Back in 2008, my home state of Montana gave Barack Obama 47% of the vote (John McCain got 49%). This wasn't 100 years ago, this was just a few electoral cycles ago. It’s a reminder that Americans aren’t as divided — or as predictable — as our politics today make it seem

Of course he does.
Meet Sell-off Steve, Trump's new nominee to run the Bureau of Land Management.

Steve Pearce is an avowed supporter of privatizing public lands and has no business running the agency that manages the majority of them.

#publiclands
Trump’s new pick to run the BLM has a history of working to sell off public land
In Congress, Steve Pearce supported bills to privatize public land, gut the Antiquities Act, prioritize oil and gas drilling, and weaken the Endangered Species Act

Not only does Trump have no idea how insurance works, but it sure seems pretty anti-capitalist to outlaw insurance companies, confiscate their funds and redistribute it to the public.
Seriously? He has no idea how insurance works or how to govern. I’ll never get over 77 million people thinking a man this incompetent belongs anywhere near the Oval Office.

Mike Johnson just continues to openly admit that the GOP is redistricting for partisan gain, which is in fact completely illegal.
Mike Johnson: "After redistricting, we think we'll net a few more seats. A handful. Maybe six to eight. We're in very good position to make history and grow this majority. We have a real record to run on. Mamdani wants to talk about affordability? We love that subject."

But I would LOVE to see Mamdani's victory speech played before focus groups in Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Montana.

LET'S JUST SEE, HUH?
This is a landslide. The last NYC mayoral candidate to clear 1 million votes was John Lindsay—over 50 years ago. It will be dismissed by pundits saying it can only happen in New York. That's garbage. Think pledging to freeze rent and offer childcare won't resonate in Nevada? Wisconsin? Texas?

Amazing. He's saying the quiet part out loud without even realizing it.

I know how absurd this is to say these days, but it's important to remember that officially, redistricting isn't supposed to unfairly favor one party over another.
Mike Johnson: "I think the midterm is gonna be a great one for us. We have a very favorable election map on the Republican side and it will be even more favorable once all the redistricting, uh, stuff has settled out."

Why do Republicans think it is bad if the public learns the actual content of their alleged health care plan? What’s in there, the Epstein Files?
Mike Johnson talks about the Republican "healthcare plan" like it's highly classified information: "We're not gonna be on a conference call explaining all our plans and strategies for healthcare reform, because they're leaked in real time."
