Quite the day for Trump: The defeat below, the defeat in Indiana, the defeat on the latest Letitia James case, the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, really bad poll numbers (his handling of the economy numbers threatening to fall into the 20s) He's losing it politically as fast as he is mentally.
Say it again for the folks in the back: "The first time the House has voted to overturn a Trump executive order in this term." 🙌
BREAKING: Democrats and Republicans in Congress just voted to pass the Protect America’s Workforce Act to restore federal workers’ union rights – the first time the House has voted to overturn a Trump executive order in this term. https://bit.ly/4oNyBQc

Gas prices have dropped below $2 at maybe a few dozen stations in 4 states. That is *not* "a lot of places"
Gas prices on average are $2.98/gal as of now (GasBuddy data)
ZERO states are remotely close to falling below a $2/gal average, but 31 are below $3.
HASSETT: Gas prices dropped below $2 a gallon in a lot of places

CORDES: Gas prices on average are still at $3 a galloon

HASSETT: For a few states they got below $2

The Trump administration inherited an economy that the Economist called "the envy of the world" in a cover story a week before the election and easily could've coasted on that success (again) but instead they set it on fire.

Look at broader measures of unemployment—including people who want a job but aren't in the labor force or who are working part-time but want a full-time job—and the labor market is nearly in the worst place since the pandemic.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Trump's economy is being held up by a massive AI bubble.

A recent study found that of 300 companies that owned generative AI tools, 95% reported zero return on their investments.

We will not entertain a bailout of these companies should this bubble pop.

When prices rise because *demand* is hot, wages usually follow. When prices rise because tariffs raise costs -- a *supply* shock -- there’s no reason paychecks catch up. That’s why tariff inflation hurts a whole heckuva lot more. It's a permanent reduction in living standards.

The pardons are primarily symbolic: No one on the list has been charged with federal crimes, and Trump can't pardon those facing state charges in GA, AZ, NV and WI.

But it's another effort by Trump to recast the history of his bid to seize a second term in 2020. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.
