Skills over content was always a false promise. Without domain knowledge, all the skills in the world don’t help students.

Ed Tech generative AI hucksters are just doubling down on that failed model. After they’re done, students won’t have the skills or knowledge they need.

Conservative purview of government intervention:

“Don’t call us. We’ll call you.”
“When we call you, you better immediately respond.”
“If you don’t immediately respond, we’ll be devastated.”

“Vote red! Get government out of our lives!”

“Desperately wants to lead that walk, but can’t play a flute or lead.”
Also the unhinged response to my original post is a good snapshot of why this site hasn’t taken off: it’s a small group of hyper-online, unhappy people screeching into the void. It doesn’t surprise me this place can’t build a viable user base. Some of yall really need to log off & go for a walk. 😌

I trust that DJT knows more than me about:

1) hookers
2) tanning sprays
3) grifting

That’s it.
Tammy Bruce: "Well, a conclusive comment for me would be coming from the President of the United States. I have great admiration for you, Andrea Mitchell, but I think he might know more than you do at this point -- more than I, more any one of us here."

Political disgrace in Illinois is as assured as expressway construction.
kwame kilpatrick told us "you done set me up for a comeback" during his resignation (in disgrace) speech
I don’t get the NY fascination w Cuomo. As an Illinoisan if I was compelled to back a Chicago mayor race run by Blago, please institutionalize me.

As someone in the academic trenches so to speak, I think we’ve all been eyewitnesses to the delegitimization of social sciences over the last few decades. Particularly history and civics. The results are apparent.
High school seniors in Mississippi will no longer have to pass a U.S. history test to graduate after the State Board of Education voted to eliminate it this fall.

Mary Werner, the lone dissenting vote, warned that it will hurt students.

The biology, algebra and English assessments will remain.

Daily reminder on this particular day, Juneteenth, that our government and the white Christian patriarchy has a sordid history of invoking some mythical divine inequity. The Mudsill Theory:

The message of the No Kings protest reverberates through this video. This is absolute insanity. We, who demand constitutionality, are ALL Brad Lander.
Here's a longer video of Brad Lander's detention just now inside 26 Federal Plaza as he tried to walk a man out of immigration court, by masked federal agents.

Ad hominem context: Kash Patel is a fucking conspiratorial, bootlicking lunatic. I’d trust a cartoon coyote with ACME strapped to its back if I was a roadrunner more than this clown
Context note: DOJ doesn’t turn over evidence to Congress if they have a viable investigation in the works.

This is probably not even on the top 100 deeply disturbing things this POTUS has done or overseen in the last five months. And it is definitely deeply disturbing.
Deeply disturbing coming from a POTUS

This was the APUSH of military parades.

To those astonished by the arrest of those who assisted the U.S. in military matters, global precedent has been set before. Jews served Germany in WWI only to be detained and murdered during the Holocaust
WATCH: “I WAS AN INTERPRETER IN AFGHANISTAN FOR 3 YEARS.”

ICE grabs a man whose name they don’t even know at his immigration hearing, shackles him, expedites his removal.

Q: Why would anyone ever help our military again? — Trump is endangering and weakening our military.

Assaulting a senator is an assault on democracy.

NO KINGS.
Today they have crossed a deep red line.

We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

The way I compartmentalize my compassion is this:

If you’ve been behind the eight ball for whatever reason because of something you can’t change, I’m in your camp.

If you willfully and knowingly made choices and are now reaping the consequences of it, dealer’s choice pal, and I’m the dealer.
