If you’re not educated, you’re easily controlled.

Public schools level the playing field and celebrate free thought.
Gov. Greg Abbott is promising to destroy public schools by making it almost impossible for districts to raise taxes. He also said voters should have the power to reduce or eliminate school funding entirely. #txlege www.houstonchronicle.com/business/col...

I lost my job, my kids have measles, and I was just detained by ICE for 10 days despite being a citizen carrying Real ID. But at least I know the Oberlin Student Senate won’t be doing land acknowledgements any more.

This should be on a billboard in every town.
Never take seriously those who ridicule low income people for having a smartphone or laptop.

“If they’re so poor how did they buy an iPhone???”

Because they’re trying to escape poverty, not the 1700s, genius. If you think basic tech access is luxury, survive a month without it.

And we don’t need another study on it.
Why do people buy pizza with EBT?

Because cauliflower is five dollars a head and you can buy five pizzas with the same money.

It’s not that folks don’t want to be healthy. They can’t afford to be healthy.

Remember the claim that we couldn't force a rush to renewables too soon, because it just wouldn't be fair to "developing nations" (i.e. the global majority world)? Welp, turns out they're willing and eager to get in on renewables, and are doing really, really well with them. So.
"However, Ember says the headlines mask a mixed global picture.

Developing countries, especially China, led the clean energy charge but richer nations including the US and EU relied more than before on planet-warming fossil fuels for electricity generation." 2/2

Two things can be true. Men do feel “scolded.” Men also need to be shown how to care about equity in a way that isn’t packaged by certain parts of the left.

It’s not easy. It’s complicated. And that’s why no one wants to do it.
