24 hours from now I'll be gathering at the Spanish Civil War Memorial to honour all those innocents who are killed when war is considered a valid response. In these times when WWIII is not an exaggeration in labelling, I believe a message of peace must be promoted.

Ah Winnipeg, the navel of Canada! Site of the great General Strike of 1919. And now led by the incomparable Wab Kinew.
Lucky Peggers!
There’s a culture of politics in Winnipeg that is so beautiful and so powerful, because it’s grounded in the fundamental notion that every single life is precious and worth fighting for.

That’s what I see in Winnipeg Centre, and that’s the kind of NDP our campaign wants to rebuild. #cdnpoli

Can The Donald get any more fetid? The cleanup after #trumpism will take a long time. Dealing with waste material, after the fact, is more costly than prevention. Can we learn a lesson here?
BREAKING

President Trump has granted a pardon to a slew of Trump world figures, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and Sidney Powell, for their efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The scale is so difficult to conceptualize.
Tens of thousands of children dead, millions of people starved, and at least 241 Palestinians killed since the cease fire.

We (the US) fund this genocide. Each year we give billions in “aid” to Israel so they can continue policies of ethnic cleansing and apartheid, yet we refuse to fund SNAP.

NPR Mideast correspondent Daniel Estrin has entered the Gaza Strip for the first time since the war began, but Israel still requires a military escort.

Not ICE. Border Patrol. They’re wearing Border Patrol uniforms with clear Border Patrol patches on them.

There are many videos of ICE officers doing outrageous stuff but a lot of the absolute worst videos are of Border Patrol, who are basically Bovino and Miller’s most aggressive tool right now.
ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”

He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care

This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person

They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

The Fireworks Galaxy - 100 billion stars!

In the last century we have witnessed 10 supernovas in the arms of this galaxy (Milky Way averages 2). All of the bright red spots you see are areas where new stars are being born, incredible considering this galaxy is 25 million light years away from us!

Its' all about perspective eh. “I was struck by the fact that New York elite and Republicans wanted to paint these proposals as sort of coming from the moon,”
We can make the world we want. Why are we letting the 1% decide?
This perfectly encapsulates how I feel living in the US. The republican party is an insane death cult, the democratic party is 3 corporations in a trench coat, and the "socialists" are just the completely normal left-wing capitalists you'd find in any of 2 dozen European nations.
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’
