@biologicaldiversity.org does good work.

Wonder what’s going on with the oversized trucks?
Help protect ancient redwoods!

A plan to widen Highway 101 to make room for oversized trucks would cut into and pave over the root systems of the thousand-year-old trees, causing dieback of the canopy and possible loss of parts of the grove.

The movement grew rapidly, and just 2 years later, Lithuania became the first to break free from Soviet occupation, inspiring others to follow. 🇱🇹

A reminder: Both sheriffs and local police have the right to refuse ICE detainers. These requests are voluntary and not legally enforceable under federal law. Across the country, many sheriffs and police departments choose not to cooperate and that choice is fully within their legal rights.

A former French military base, Vauban is a thriving neighbourhood of 5,500 residents connected to Freiburg town centre by bus and light rail. Built in the late 1990s as a radical experiment in low-car living, it forgoes virtually all on-street parking in favour of active, green, and social spaces. 🧵

Every American has the right to know what DOGE is doing with their personal information. I submitted a Privacy Act request to DOGE, demanding they tell me why they have my Social Security number and direct deposit information.

Not a bad idea, like Googling oneself but next level. Who also has their Social Security records printed? Both on my to do list!
Someone actually pre-drafted a #FOIA request for you to send directly to #DOGE so that you can find out what personal information of yours that ketamine-addled doofus has. Here's a link to it. Happy hunting.

How this particular stream of bs is going.
As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.
