The airline cancellations are going to cause a riot. The dude from the Real World is about to see what happens when constituents stop being polite and starting getting real. 🤣

It happened: Yesterday a baby boomer dude told me to smile.

I bared my teeth and growled at him.

You know you're fucked as a society when you're thinking about depictions of unreasonable leaders in popular culture and honestly, it doesn't feel that bad. Like, the Burgermeister just didn't want kids to play with toys -- he didn't try starving them to death.

The Republicans' shutdown message is abundantly clear:
Let us jack up millions of people's health care costs or we'll starve the poor.
I wish that was an exaggeration. It's not.

Pro tip: If your idiot dog is a chowhound, make sure you don't leave snack bags, like chip bags, lying around because our potato was found limp and almost suffocated today inside Sour Cream and Cheddar Ruffles and we almost lost him.

Hug your babies but also pick up your trash, people.

Being disabled is a minority group you can join at any time.

Everyone believes they will be the exception. That it won’t happen to them, or when it does they will “try harder” than us

The truth is most people will become disabled.

Health is both fragile & temporary.

I respectfully request that we all stop using the term "infotainment system."

If anyone uses it in public, someone is allowed to roll up a newspaper and gently tap the person on the nose and say "Fooey!"

I really never planned to waste my precious days on this blue marble learning about all the stages of a fascist coup. Just think, we all could have been reading Jane Austen novels or watching birds or painting our garage doors, like literally anything else.

Because everything is terrible, I just sent a Pride card to people I don't know -- they live on a busy street and used to always display Pride and anti-Turnip stuff but then had stopped since January and now are displaying again. I wanted them to know I appreciate them so much. Small things matter.
