Oddly they don’t wear them for a virus still killing & disabling far quicker than smoke.
Smoking, even 2nd hand, can cause cancer decades later. We restrict public areas where you can smoke. Covid is 'smoking' on steroids. Invisible, odorless 'smoke' that people can be unaware they are breathing out. Each person who inhales then becomes a 'smoker' for a week or more, even if unaware. Instead of decades, the full impact will be in just a few years at most. Brain, heart, organ damage, and long Covid. Alberta’s measles outbreak is so bad that patients are now being asked to not enter hospitals.

This is a disaster the UCP must fix - this outbreak should never have gotten to this point. Albertans deserve better.

We’ve mentioned this before: Ryan’s Law requires that schools take action to protect students with asthma by reducing the risk of exposure to asthma triggers.

This is one way to get AC into classrooms during a heatwave to protect vulnerable students!

Please let people know that their child has asthma or any other medical condition that requires them to have a/c, if they bring a Dr. Note, the board will make sure an a/c unit is put in the classroom. I had a student do this, and couldn't believe how quickly it happened.

FYI: If a case of #measles is confirmed at your school, a mandatory exclusion period of up to 21 days is enforced for unvaccinated people or people with only one dose of a measles vaccine. This may be extended past 21 days if cases continue in the school.
