One thing I am always reminded that Europe does unambiguously better than the US: bread. You can find bread as good as anything in Europe in the states but it’s hard. Every country in continental Europe I’ve ever been to makes high quality bread stupidly cheap and available.

I've written up how I approach "agentic engineering" for real-world codebases & tasks.

TL;DR: Treat LLMs like shitty computers you program with natural language, not chatbots you beg for code.

Taming agentic engineering - Prompts are code, .json/.md files are state
Treating LLMs as shitty general purpose computers we program with natural language. Because throwing shit at the wall wasn't working anymore.

Last month I spent 30 hours across 3 days playing Eclipse, a sci-fi larp inspired by Interstellar and Arrival.

It was my first "full scale" larp, so I was anxious and excited to see if it'd live up to the hype. Not just the visual spectacle, but also the depth of role play. Here's what I found!
Playing First Contact in Eclipse, a Spectacular 3-day Sci-Fi Larp
I confronted humanity’s place in the universe in an epic larp inspired by Interstellar and Arrival.

Working on the iOS team at Nutrient is different from many other iOS development roles. I wrote a post about life on the iOS team at Nutrient with insights into how we work, the challenges we face, and what’s important to us.

I think the AI is not having a good day.

Do if you want to, but if you think the feature sounds useful please look into the actual implementation. It is very, very privacy conscious and Apple doesn’t get any juicy information.
My dudes, turn this shit off. On iOS it's under Settings > Apps > Photos > scroll all the way down.
Apple has opted iOS and MacOS users into an AI photo scanning feature which tries to extract landmarks from your photos called Enhanced Visual Search by default with little notice.

I had no idea that is the accepted lyrics for it in English, hah. Love it.
“Holy infant so tender and mild” will never not be funny, don’t write lyrics when you’re hungry.

I appreciate games that let me turn on invulnerability for a bit. Don’t have time to play the same segment 5 times (and I won’t get better anymore, haha). Looking at you, Alan Wake 2.
