The hoops that every small business has to go through to get a verified phone number just for "conference calling" belies the number of spam calls I get daily. Microsoft wants 2 .pdf's of gov docs; domain proof; and tax id.

Red tape for legitimate users. No effort to stop scammers and thieves. 🍸

Please watch and share as Starbucks baristas demonstrate outside the company's biggest distribution hub.

They're on DAY 7 of their strike. Baristas and their allies are protesting Starbucks’ serious and unresolved unfair labor practices.

Because they wanted the headline: "Comey Indicted"
Control the narrative 101.
NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

A new paper from @econliberties.bsky.social shows that the culprit is a shift in how homebuilding is financed that ultimately favored Wall Street profits over Main Street’s housing needs.

Absolutely cannot wait to bust down the doors for a drink made by a company whose unionized workers are on strike in a store that doesn’t want to hire minorities anymore.
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

If lawmakers genuinely care about young people's wellbeing, they should invest in education, support parents with better tools, and address the actual root causes of harm online. What they shouldn't do is wage war on privacy itself. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...

We would rather pour hundreds of billions into the taxi industry that is only worth about $22B/yr in the hopes that one day we can not have to talk to a human driver. We will have given billionaires enough that they could put trains and light rail in every city in the US, instead we get Johnny Cab.
The very last thing that billionaires want to do is pay a human a living wage. It sickens them.

Went to repost this and then depressingly saw it was from 8 months ago. This is still true, and I am now convinced it will remain true until there are successful primary challenges nationwide to the "roll over and play dead" Dems.
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

NEW: I’m calling on Trump to cancel private jet flights instead of commercial airlines.

Private jet flights often take a single billionaire passenger, but still put real strain on our air traffic control system.

This is textbook example of getting your news from Millionaires owned by Billionaires. They are complaining that their empty $60M buildings will lose value, and they have yet to talk to the new mayor about rent (hours after the election).

Do you think anyone talking here buys their own groceries?!
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."
