Over the last month, adding milk to my shopping list 3 times (in this order):

1) "I've unchecked your previously checked item, milk"
2) "Adding milk to your shopping list"
3) "Milk is already on your shopping list, but it is checked. Would you like to uncheck it?" to which I have to respond "yes"
Ever since google shoved AI into their home assistant, it's become a super fun adventure. Identical prompts give wildly different responses.

When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means

I came here from the bird app. I don't think something like "drafts" (if that is their real name) is going to save me from leaning into bad decisions.
v1.116 is rolling out now!

For all the overthinkers and perfectionists out there, we're launching Drafts.

She'd fail a mirror test. She has follow-up questions to "I think therefore I am". Truly astonishing levels of self-unaware.

Know what's pro-growth and deregulatory? Universal healthcare and UBI. Zoning and permitting reform. Urban densification and public transportation infrastructure.

Do any of these people want to do this? Absolutely not.
Ezra Klein's Abundance movement is getting some backup: A new political group is urging Democrats to embrace "pro-growth," deregulatory policies with an eye toward 2028, according to plans first shared with Axios.
Exclusive: Centrist Dems strike back with new group
It's the latest effort by moderate Democrats to shape national politics and expand their influence.

The idea of libertarians taking this specific moment to flex is wild
this is a subject that's near and dear to my heart

1. no you didn't, you retconning fucks

2. your decades of anti-governance "free market" "government never functions" propaganda paved the way for the complete authoritarian decimation of labor, consumer, environmental protections

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

i started researching Russian disinfo networks in 2014 and writing about them in 2015 and the sheer amount of smug online assholes who dismissed every piece of reporting as CIA propaganda or whatever will never not piss me off
Is anybody ever gonna take a step back and realize the "Russia Russia Russia" people — derided as lunatic wine moms — were actually underplaying the foreign influence stuff, and the loud people who kept insisting it was all fake are now saying Jeffrey Epstein was kind of a cool guy?

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things
