Former Reform UK Wales leader Nathan Gill has been sentenced to 10.5 years after admitting he took money to make pro-Russian statements in the European Parliament. The question remains: “What about Farage?” following this sentence. #ukpolitics

Not the first to make this point. But there is a tyrant in charge of another country who is accused of being heavily linked to a paedophile sex ring - and supposed ‘patriots’ in this country are passionately willing him to take down our national broadcaster. Madness.

The decent majority in this country must stand against it and stand up to the idiots who are believing all the bile about immigration. Migrants and immigrants get jobs ,pay taxes and contribute to society. Billionaires rip us off and support right wing politicians that help them pay no tax. FACT.
We do have a racist and xenophobe problem in the UK, it's been going on for nearly 10 years and been stoked by Murdoch and the right wing press. They have scapegoated migrants for years to distract from all the corruption and tax evasion of Billionaires. It's got worse because of our politicians.

I think this is the first time I've EVER heard a politician speak the unflinching truth like this instead of cowardly skirting round the issue.

In so doing, @zackpolanski.bsky.social speaks up for all those groups threatened by Trump's actions.

We need far more of this courage in politics.
Zack Polanski on President Trump, "It's difficult to call him anything other than a fool"

"This is sociopathic behaviour"

"He is toxic, misogynistic, racist"

"I'm not a fan of Trump"

Christiane Amanpour, "It's pretty clear"

The Liberal Democrats won't let him. We will stand up for a decent, tolerant and caring country.

Poverty, lost opportunities, hopelessness and lack of education breeds division, blame, anger, racism and the far right.

The Farages of this world use this to manipulate people and enrich themselves.

Labour know this. Which is why I find their current direction of travel baffling.

First the likes of Farage said we needed to leave the EU. Now they’re coming for the ECHR.

Paul Kohler MP: "It feels like Brexit déjà vu with the same hollow promises of taking back control, the same disregard for facts, the same blindness to consequence."

This is an incredible bit of reporting.

Statistical, humiliating (for "X" and of course the news orgs who still treat the platform like the innocent "Where News Happens!" that it used to be).

If Labour are willing to bin their manifesto pledges on tax rises, why not on Brexit?

That would win them far, far more votes than raising taxes ever will. Indeed, tax rises are likely to crater their weak support even further.

What's so magical about Brexit that it must remain untouchable?

That's Elon Musk who has repeatedly called for civil war in the UK.

Every single Reform policy is stupid, unworkable & would be counterproductive. In government they would’ve given everyone Ivermectin rather than investing in vaccines.
