The role of social media in economic reform www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/07... Gary Stevenson described me as 'not your classic influencer type' in his latest video yesterday. I think I can handle that if not being so still delivers results.

Nazir Afzal, “It’s scandalous no one is mentioning the victims. Some have rung me up in tears, they are so traumatised. It reminds them of how little they meant. They are still suffering from our neglect and struggling to cope.”

"Abandoned dogs overwhelm UK shelters as weak regulations fuel a welfare crisis...

Animal shelters and kennels are grappling with an increasingly desperate situation. Thousands of dogs... now face the harsh fate of abandonment, the uncertainty of rehoming or, in the most tragic cases, euthanasia."

I'm sure we all feel their pain! There is a need for a rental market but buy-to-let should not be a thing.
Evicted a 90-year old veteran and sold their property for a 159% profit to avoid a capital gains tax increase that doesn't exist, and still they feel like victims.

We have an entire generation of spoiled, greedy, grasping monsters who wouldn't give you the steam of their piss.
‘We’re evicting our 90-year-old tenant because of Labour’
Leftist rent reforms leave many long-term landlords deciding buy-to-let is no longer worth it

Horrific incident of course but no doubt sections of our media will rush to condemn "Islamists" before the facts are known. Let's all wait and see.

"slow government". Probably what we need right now. I think Starmer will get there. Let's hope so the alternative is a Farage/Musk dystopian nightmare. Our inner cities will be like the hell holes LA and NYC with thousands of homeless, at best. At worst like a Gaza style walled off prison camp

Left: Keir Starmer, "Nobody felt better off under the last government"

Right: "The UK's rich are getting richer"

This is why so many have called for a wealth tax on those with over £10m, because the rich are getting richer, even under the last Conservative government
