Fun new experience: apparently, my brain has declared, in order to finish the big picture edits on book 1, I absolutely have to start drafting book 2 in parallel with doing them, there's no other option.

As a person who's constantly behind on answering emails, I shall not be a hypocrite. I shall be patient and understanding and just keep waiting for a response to my own email and trust that it will come on time to resolve the matter. Ommmmmm.

The sucky thing about depression is how damn good it is at joining forces with executive dysfunction and making you fill your days with riveting stuff like "literally laying down staring into the wall for 2 hours straight."

Rennas, on the other hand, adheres to all the little superstition-based rituals out of habit and doesn't believe in them one bit.

I've said this before, I'll say it again: there is no use case that that technology might, could, maybe have that is worth the costs it incurs in terms of energy, creative theft, and adjacency to oppression and abuse. There's no point in talking to me about the good it could do when it's not. (2/5)

And if by chance you got someone to read the words the regurgitron spat out for you, if someone looked at the text you didn't write and said sure man, that's great, would that fill the hole in your soul? Does that assuage the itch writing scratches, to express yourself and have someone say 'Yes!'?
