There are things I still disagree with him about that I'm verifiably aware of but as I said to a mutual the other day I'm still willing to take the likes of Mamdani or an AOC over who we have now because they're both at least willing to be held accountable. (1/2)

Mamdani is the ideal example of "don't let perfection be the enemy of good" by the way. Not the white dude who got his Nazi tattoo covered up when it became a political liability

Coming back to this after going to Castlevania: Belmont's Curse's main page and the fact that we're playing as a femme Belmont? Yeah, I'm calling my shot, this is Sonia recanonized somehow even though they don't say her name. The braid alone is so, SO iconcially Sonia. It *has* to be her! YES!!!

This is why I've been actively working on my tendency to say "well didn't you know x said y about this thing" to someone who's having a good time with it because I realize that it's very easy for me to accidentally project a sense of "but that's why you shouldn't be interacting with x". (1/5)
I wish we could renormalize being able to simply dislike a thing without having to prove your dislike is due to a massive flaw in the thing. You can just not like it. It doesn't have to be due to a pile of discourse.
