a thing to ask yourself re: the GOP's electoral position is what could happen over the next year that could *improve* its position? and what could trump do, plausibly, that might *boost* his numbers with the public?

Trump calls him a victim and lets him walk.

How can we be fighting drugs while freeing the person who helped flood America with them? Complete hypocrisy.

There is/was no ‘imminent danger’ to America.

None.

Also, Trump granted a 13 Mexican cartel members US residency.

And pardoned a guy who helped facilitate 400 tons of cocaine entering America.

So it IS NOT ABOUT drugs either.

Go figure.

It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

Trump is exploiting last week's shooting to do what he's wanted since day one: shut down asylum, block refugees, revoke green cards, and target immigrants from countries he doesn't like.

This is racist, un-American, and illegal. Trump can't erase international law with a social media post.

Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

And that’s apparently it.

Not priorities: freedom, security, justice, law, US allies, avoiding future war
