Farage saying that he never "directly" racially abused anyone rather than flat out denying racial abuse makes me wonder in there are videos or voice recordings somewhere.

Last year, I lived in a town that was just outside of London. Getting into Central London took 23 minutes by train. Yet, commuting to work cost me over £50 for each day I went it. Transport costs are disgusting, so don't expect me to impressed by this short-term freeze.

Other than the fact that it can do certain mundane tasks for you such as writing cover letters, everything was better before AI.

TIL I learned that the reason why liberals devalue the lives of people in countries which they deem to have insufficient freedoms is... because they don't believe that those lives were worth living anyway (typo in original).

Actually, this viewpoint is the privileged one, and very Western. Because you are used to living in relative comfort, you think that a life without it isn't a life worth living. This is how Westerners justify treating the lives of people from certain parts of the world as though they have no value.
i also feel like… there is genuinely this privilege in the worldview they hold where death is the absolute worst thing that can happen to someone. and i don’t mean to trivialize the horrors of war but like? i think many people would rather die than live under certain conditions

There's a difference between nominal and substantive representation. I want to see people of colour like me in high office to the extent that their life experience imbues them with a substantive understanding of racism and a substantive opposition to it. Who is Mahmood representing here? Its not us.
I do not understand those still attempting to defend Labour. Every day the gap between them and Reform, on immigration, trans and non-binary rights, disabled individuals etc shrinks. Human rights have to apply to everyone or they end up applying to no-one. #r4today
