I've reached a stage where I just don't tolerate "negging". It's not fun, it's basically the opposite of a confidence boost. Either be supportive, or go fuck yourself.

Farage saying that he never "directly" racially abused anyone rather than flat out denying racial abuse makes me wonder in there are videos or voice recordings somewhere.

Last year, I lived in a town that was just outside of London. Getting into Central London took 23 minutes by train. Yet, commuting to work cost me over £50 for each day I went it. Transport costs are disgusting, so don't expect me to impressed by this short-term freeze.

Other than the fact that it can do certain mundane tasks for you such as writing cover letters, everything was better before AI.

Especially art. One of the main things that brings joy, light and colour to this world. Destroyed by AI.

Guy who isn't affected by racism says racism isn't important to him. I guess it therefore shouldn't matter to those of us who are targeted by it, then 🙄.
Race has never been of interest to me. Those who play the victim are charlatans.
This government is not aiming for the purity of egalitarian socialist principle but aiming for purposeful change for the good of all the population, not merely a vocal minority. Little wonder you cannot accept it.

I'm old enough to remember how Starmer "dealt with" the Forde report findings.
Keir Starmer has accused Nigel Farage of being “spineless” when it comes to dealing with racism.

TIL I learned that the reason why liberals devalue the lives of people in countries which they deem to have insufficient freedoms is... because they don't believe that those lives were worth living anyway (typo in original).

This is how I know their "support" for BLM is purely performative.

Actually, this viewpoint is the privileged one, and very Western. Because you are used to living in relative comfort, you think that a life without it isn't a life worth living. This is how Westerners justify treating the lives of people from certain parts of the world as though they have no value.
i also feel like… there is genuinely this privilege in the worldview they hold where death is the absolute worst thing that can happen to someone. and i don’t mean to trivialize the horrors of war but like? i think many people would rather die than live under certain conditions

According to our newspapers, if you're from a well-to-do background & advocate against excessive wealth, you're part of the bourgeoisie and have no business speaking for the working class.

If you're a multimillionaire or billionaire spreading hate towards minorities, you're a man of the people.

There's a difference between nominal and substantive representation. I want to see people of colour like me in high office to the extent that their life experience imbues them with a substantive understanding of racism and a substantive opposition to it. Who is Mahmood representing here? Its not us.
I do not understand those still attempting to defend Labour. Every day the gap between them and Reform, on immigration, trans and non-binary rights, disabled individuals etc shrinks. Human rights have to apply to everyone or they end up applying to no-one. #r4today

Got a bit excited at news of the plan to oust Starmer. I would still vote Green, but thought that might at least spell the end of Starmer and all of those other McSweeney-ite ghouls. Maybe someone would step down to let Burnham to run in a by-election. But no, their sights are set on...Streeting 🤦🏾‍♀️

The bar for British politicians is set so low now that hacks just presume "communication skills" & "humour" will be absent as standard.

Finding someone that can put a sentence together & crack a joke? They are messing themselves with excitement, like Ustinov has been reincarnated in London Essex.
