Please don't follow if you don't know me/aren't an eminence whom I've followed. Me? West Aussie, late diagnosed AuDHD, uni art student, wildlife carer, indie music dabbler, book/food/cake/travel/dance/language fiend, she/her, still COVIDing.
Also, furious! At least I'm funding the CSIRO a little by being on the diet (and having fortnightly CSIRO dietician appointments!)
'“It’s the most shortsighted lack of investment by a federal government since before the Abbott government. And they were stupid," [a former long-serving researcher at #CSIRO] said.'

I've been back on the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet for a bit over two weeks now. Put on 100g in the first week - a little disappointed but hey, muscle gain = heavier! Weighed in today: 600g down on last week, woohoo! And the food is DELISH!! :) #Totalwellbeingdiet #csiro

Finally given in & watching #Murderbot despite a clearly male actor playing the non-gendered unit. Love Alexander Skarsgård, and him being slim, not a bulky "muscle man", is good. It could have been perfect if they'd dubbed an androgynous voice. Great job padding out the first book, though :)

Serendipity! The first day of feeling positive since going 'no contact' with my malignant covert narcissist mother, I put my Tidal favourite tracks on random play and this is the first track it plays me!

Resting our weird arses in Holland Park, admiring enormously fat pigeons, splendid song birds and many cute doggies being walked. Our view isn't amazing, but we are footsore and a bench is a bench!

Woohoo!! Finally got the Tilda inspired haircut I've been preparing two years for. London, here I come 🥳

Adani, the world's largest private coal developer, thinks it's invincible. Fraud, deception, bribery, Indigenous rights abuses… but the big banks still finance this corrupt, climate-wrecking company.

Tell regulators AMF and FCA to act now and investigate these banks.

Unfiltered version of the source photo (actually phone photo of print of source photo, if I wish to be pedantic.)

Stuffing about with source image for complementary colours homework: like this effect on a photo I took of housemate/best mate several decades ago. The purply bits will be red tones to fit the brief. I'm enjoying this version and v much looking forward to painting it :) #art #curtinunifineart

I shout in annoyance at the sleeping #Wordle bot due to today's irritating word.

Two copies of the underdrawing transferred and fixed. I'm going to approach one by building up fine layers of dilute paint and the other more robustly. While transferring, I thought the top one was "better" so I'd use it for the dilute layers.. I think I've changed my mind 🤷‍♀️
April 28, 2025 at 10:39 AM
Fiddle faddled a bit, as usual, fixed, and I'll charcoal the back to transfer the outlines to two more sheets... and then be brave and add paint! Actually, I think I should rephrase that: have some fun with paint 🙂
April 28, 2025 at 9:14 AM
Underdrawing finally done. I think I'll impress the shapes onto the second primed paper. I'd beef up the outlines, put the primed faces together and rub to get a mirror image, but unfortunately the homework brief says same composition for each. Boo. #art #painting #CurtinUniFineArt

I have my usual painting qualms, feeling my underdrawing will be better than my painting. But that's the way it goes: gotta paint more to get the hang of it. I think it's the one art media that totally freaks me out. The others only mid-range freak me out 🙃 #nervousartist #audhdartist

OK, so, believe it or not, this is painting homework. It's due tomorrow. I have spent two weeks on prep and hours on this still unfinished underdrawing. And I have to to two. EEEEKKK!!! #art #painting #VISA1005 #CurtinUniversityFineArt

Oh, OK, also not the bible basher. He reckons his "God" has his back out there because he's special. 1. What a lovely Christian attitude 🙄 2. Has he READ the Bible? Even the mythical figure Jesus had trials lasting 40 days in the wilderness. Blurgh. #aloneaustralia

Yes, I have two uni assessments due in the next week. And yes, I'm watching #aloneaustralia. Ceilidh ftw! Or, frankly, anyone other than Mozza or whatever his idiot name is 😀 But mostly Ceilidh 🏳️‍🌈
