A a person who has lived in the US, was partly educated in the US system, who continued to visit and has friends there, I had already made the decision to not travel to the US again. The situation there is alarming, as is the overspill. Let us not walk into the same political trap.

I watched BBC Question Time last night. Uncomfortable but interesting. What seems perennial accusation of crimes by immigrants was raised & not really addressed. Is it possible to get a breakdown of crime statistics by ethnicity published in the media? I cannot believe it is only immigrants.

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.
