Finally playing og ps2 yakuza 1 and they really knocked it out of the park with kamurocho right away. Like despite the lack of later qol changes like trackable substories, better and more mini games, and being able fucking run, it still really fun to bumble around kamurocho

the oscars are run by calcified ghouls with an extremely narrow sense of what counts as legitimate with the art form (re:animation) but at least that ship isnt being steered by an idiot ad man that failed upwards out the goddamn spike tv video game awards
The Game Awards are not the Oscars of video games. The Oscars miss constantly but at least they are a bona fide attempt by an industry to legitimize and promote itself; TGA is not that, it's just ads for individual products masquerading as an awards show run by one guy's particular preferences.
