I can’t believe it took me so long to read Watership Down but thank god I finally did because this book is a goddamn masterpiece. #Booksky

I work in a very technical field and every time someone from marketing presents me with something they asked ChatGPT and they want me to “verify” the answer, a little part of me dies.

I’d love to be able to meet the other 17 people who had Audition by Katie Kitamura on their Libby alerts and placed a hold the INSTANT the notification came through. #BookSky

I’m so disgusted by this whole charade where Trump is being heralded as the savior of TikTok right on the splash screen. This is such a fucking joke.

Go girl give us nothing!

I joke (sort of), the Switch 2 looks amazing and cute but I can’t believe we have to wait until APRIL for more information. I need to know about the optical sensors in the Joy-con! Can I play Civilization more easily?!

I told myself I wouldn’t download Balatro on my phone. Mistakes were made.

I’m doing more math than I’ve done since college while trying to add an extra shelf to my IKEA Billy bookcases. Two of the shelves in these are fixed and I have WAY too many books of varying heights. This is both extremely fun and extremely aggravating. #Booksky

"The Language of Thorns" by Leigh Bardugo was sitting on my shelf for the last seven years for no reason whatsoever, but I finally picked it up. It is such a mesmerizing collection of tales and illustrations, perfect for wintry nights. I read one story each night and it was just what I needed.💙📚

I just want to use a platform that isn’t run by a fucking conformist asshole billionaire.

It’s funny Zuck says “I started building social media to give people a voice” when in fact, he started building social media to publicly rate the hotness of undergrads.

The new Pokémon TCG Pocket pack drop today was enough to cheer me up for a brief time while the utter despair of work at the end of this year was doing its best to drag me down. And I’ll take that!

Also I got my fucking son Cramorant in my first pull. I love this dumbass.

*emerges* Should I be active here again?! It does tempt me after poking around a bit. The main difference here compared to Threads is that there’s so much less engagement bait, which is just WONDERFUL.

Final Fantasy XVI really has two extremely hot and powerful adults traveling together, and after maybe 35 hours, I’ve seen maybe 3 seconds of romantic tension between them. I am starved for ANYTHING between these two. This game is gonna make me go to Tumblr. I have needs.

This is the REAL threat of AI. Not that foolish "they'll revolt and kill us all" stuff.
Personally, I don’t think that AI slop can or will replace art and writing.

I DO think that depraved tech lords are going to force us to spend at least a decade (or more) *proving* that AI can’t do this stuff in the worst, most destructive way possible.

I’ve been watching the Amazon Prime show Extrapolations with my mom and the whole wildfire smoke/orange sky/the earth is seriously dying narrative is really hitting different right now.

When I read the words “whip-smart” in a book blurb I immediately shut down. Those words mean nothing to me anymore. I almost physically recoil when I read them. Every single book is whip-smart anymore.

I feel awful right now because I ate too many cherries. I always do this to myself. One time I got sick from eating too much celery.

the reason blue sky has the good posters and threads has the scumbags and brands is because someone actually has to want to see your posts to get on here

Wore a dress to work today for the first time in the entire 11 years of my employment. Contrary to my expectations, everything ended up ok.

Most of my Threads feed is just brands and random influencers. Social media managers jockeying for viral threads or whatever we’re calling them. It feels very “big corporation trying to manufacture an early Twitter feeling.” I feel a little strange on there. Seen but not in a way I like to be seen?

Not seeing a ton of brands here is prrrreeettyyy nice. When people said it feels like the early bird app, as someone who has been on there since 2007, it really does.
