I suspect I'll make myself unpopular again, but I welcome this. Small modular reactors make decarbonising heavy industrial processes; hydrogen production; grid balancing and other tasks easier. We don't need to choose between SMRs and renewables. We can have both.

I’ve kept this piece of paper for nearly 9 years.

As a scientist entering politics in 2015/6… it was utterly (and grimly) fascinating to me that those who voted Brexit trusted *no-one*.

There was no category of society that Leave voters, on average, had faith in and would readily defer to.

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.
