There are half a billion barrels of oil in Rosebank which if burnt would produce 200million tons CO2. The science is absolutely clear about this: we must rapidly phase out fossil fuels for any hope of limiting warming to below 2°C. This means no new old and gas.

I purchased replacement batteries for my USP device 17 months ago. Premature, for sure. But, my system shut down unexpectedly several times tonight, and the apparent culprit is the UPS. <sigh>

According to TransUnion and Equifax, my credit rating is in the "Excellent" category. Big whoop. That just means I pay my bills on time. It doesn't mean anyone will lend me money, since I live below the poverty line. And that's IN SPITE of the fact that I could handle a small monthly payment.

What was lost with recent federal defunding of 3 out of 9 regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs), written by leaders/staff from Northeast, South Central and Pacific Islands CASCs.

We haven't given up on getting their funding restored, along with other cuts to the rest of the network.

This is an incredible image of comet 3I/ATLAS, taken by Satoru Murata ICQ Comet Observations group on 16 November 2025 from western New Mexico.

Structure within the major dust tail from the comet is clearly visible, together with two smaller jets trailing the nucleus and maybe even an anti-tail.
