Some people evacuated Panama City ahead of the storm, not expecting it to impact the capitol city. But it did, with lots of ancient oak trees falling victim.

"What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?"

Well, that's just not fair. Even limiting it to four is nearly impossible, but I'll try.

No, the US Dime still represents positive seigniorage and is useful.
However, we should consider discontinuing the Dollar Bill.
We already have a dollar coin, and with the end of the dollar note, a $2 coin should be introduced, following the lead of Canada, which has had a $2 coin since 1996.

Still, neat to learn something. With the name provided, I learned that they are mainly native to Australia, aren't true crickets, are pollinators, wingless, and have the strongest bite of any insect, which can be painful but with no serious harm. Scientific name Gryllacrididae
Cute little boogers.

They fit the definition of gestapo, too, and encompasses their terrorist tactics.

My order has been caught in a temporal causality loop!

To make matters worse, this is a replacement for the original order, which was returned to the supplier because of damage that apparently didn't occur until it arrived at the same destination city.

Trump's BLM is again considering a highway through the critically endangered Mojave Desert Tortoise habitat.

I've been a frog lover for a couple of generations, even had frog avatars. Glad to see them speaking up against fascism, and wish I had a frog costume, heh!
This is my current avatar on Quora...

As silver flirts with its 2011 peak by the numbers, it should be noted that, adjusted for inflation, the spot price would have to reach over $71 to equal that peak in purchasing power.

Let Trumpsters buy one of the numerous Chinese-produced tribute coins available for $2.
They're not legal tender, so they can't circulate. But neither will these, if the abominable commemorative is ever created.

These exist, they're readily available, and should satisfy the treasonous bastards.

Good news, folks who are interested in Redneck Riviera crap.
The infamous "leaning house" in Panama City Beach, Florida has finally been demolished.

I'm a little surprised some entrepreneur didn't buy it (and neighboring houses) as another tacky PCBch tourist attraction.

Here's a sample of a deutan friendly key.
Notice, red and green are not on opposite ends of the scale, and the liberal use of blue shades.

I wish people who produce these graphics would have mercy on the 10% of us who are color deficient.
I literally cannot tell the difference between wettest and driest on the 1st key, or in the 2nd key between 'under 25%' and '150% to 200%' over.

On this day 45 years ago; October 1, 1980
A wedding was held 1,000 feet (305 m) below the surface in a tourist gold mine. A world record for deepest wedding?

It was over three years later.

Stop your doom scrolling for a moment. I thought this was outrageous, and funny, too.
This joker offers free shipping, and takes offers.
I tried to offer him/her 15¢, which is generous.
But my attempt at humor was thwarted by the minimum acceptable 99¢, which is far more than the coin is worth.
