While you may be worried about having that connection I can say that in a year of just abject horror the best thing I’ve done is meet and make connections with Gazans. In addition to being some of the nicest people on the planet- they affirm my belief in humanity continually.

Just as disturbing as seeing the endless stream of dead babies and children's bodies blown apart by military explosives on my feed is having to read so many of my fellow humans defending these horrors in the most sociopathic ways imaginable.

Remember folks, journalists are currently not allowed into Gaza without IOF supervision, they've cut off all cell service and power in the Strip, and the most egregious claims against Hamas right now are coming out of twitter accounts that are clearly astroturf operations

They need us to believe the Palestinians are weak. They need us to believe they couldn't do this on their own. They need us to not get any ideas.

I'm seeing a lot of people who support Palestine getting sucked into Israeli/US propaganda and riding the fence. This is an anti imperialist struggle. Your position should be obvious to you. Do you prefer subjugation or freedom?
