I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Saw a post today that advised writers to stop writing as if a human will read it and start writing for an LLM that will be summarising.
As someone who really enjoyed trying to develop a peculiar but readable authorial voice, I find this incredibly depressing.

The insomnia gremlins are pretty insistent so turned on the lamp and got treated to the cat doing zoomies up to the corner of the bed, absolute maniac energy at play, and had a really good laugh. So eff you insomnia, you can't take all my joy

Remembering how about a decade ago I did a white elephant gift of the entire series of Farscape that I'd taped off TV. I didn't have a working VCR anymore and it was a funny entry. But now I wish I hadn't tossed a piece of history away like that. But I also tossed all VHS in my last move. 🤷♀️
