Erroneous data showed first-year decline; it actually rose
In October, the National Student Clearinghouse reported that first-year enrollment fell by 5 percent. Now, citing a research error, they say it actually increased.

I’ve never run anything of significance and can’t answer basic questions about national security, but I have the only qualification that matters to the GOP and that’s being anti-DEI, so they’ll put me in charge of the Pentagon, for sure

In re Claremont, Paul Fussell rightly pointed out back in the 80s that think tanks and institutes with all their talk of “scholars” and “fellows” was just people playing at university without having actually to put in the work—or, I’d add, having to face oppositional views from colleagues.
