Looking forward to the new ruler of Venezuela being unveiled as Mr Beast.

Gonna be a whole lot of milkshake-drinking going on when US troops arrive in Venezuela.

My idea of a New Year's Day walk: Strolling for maybe 90 minutes, the crisp winter air allowing me to clear my head and quietly contemplate life.

My daughter's idea of a New Year's Day walk: 90 minutes of Gatling Gun question-asking, with no question in any way related to the previous one.

Look at the mobile phones. That's the giveaway.
Don’t want to spoil the magic but every Hootennany was filmed in a week in the summer of 2006

Played the Traitors card game tonight, and it just confirmed my suspicion that I would be utterly, laughably hapless at the real thing.

I think there are two factors to this, one we've noticed, one we haven't/

1. Pointlessly and spitefully kicking natural supporters/ allies in the face at every given opportunity.
2. The memeification of loathing on social media (esp in algorithmic video).
Glad the FT is asking the question. Even if I’m not convinced they found a compelling answer.
I get that Starmer & Reeves are unpopular, I really don’t understand the extent of the dislike.

Allies concede the prime minister and chancellor have made mistakes yet the level of disdain towards them is still striking

My daughter ran out in front of David Blunkett and nearly tripped him over.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Why is the Sun so obsessed with the love life of Andy Carroll?

I'm a centrist on this, in that I don't want to listen to your podcast or the video of you just talking.

My dad arrived for Christmas lunch carrying 12 bottles of wine. Then he tripped over the doorstep and smashed them all over the hallway. I emerged from the kitchen to find him face down, spreadeagled on the floor in a pool of red liquid.

Proper Christmassing.

Had a last minute panic over the girls recognising my handwriting if Santa wrote names by presents. So I've gone for using daemons instead.

At this time of year, we should think of those less fortunate than us, such as those who have bins on a Thursday.

There's a great debate under this, and now I'm trying to find the most famous *dead* artist with fewer than five million monthly lessons on Spotify.
Just starting a running thread for “once famous figures now slipping into recondite knowledge now that they’ve died and society moves on” to come back to as and when I remember

=1 Peter Cook and/or Dudley Moore

I think we should change the Paddington Bear meme to Rupert the Bear when an absolute arsehole dies.
