The Supreme Court promised that its decision "would not be disadvantageous to or remove protection from trans people" so we are surprised and disappointed that the Westminster Parliament has surrendered to hate. goodlaw.social/qduz
Parliament surrenders to anti-trans activists on toilet policy
The UK parliament has thrown trans people under the bus on toilets, abandoning its own policy to placate activists who accosted a trans barrister on the parliamentary estate.

So the people of Jacksonville did it themselves using flashlights and gels.

They opened the drawbridge to block them.

So they marched to a different bridge.

It's unfathomable much money and effort is being expended to fight against trans rights, the entirety of the religious right, groups like Heritage, ADF, etc, the whole of the Murdoch media empire, entire governments, and just about every billionaire that's losing their minds in a transphobic frenzy.
if the case for trans rights was so weak, we wouldn’t need five hundred op eds and talking heads constantly trying to convince us it was weak! it would just look weak on its own

UK's right-wing Labour Government continues its crackdown on washroom use affecting trans people, lesbians and non-femme women, but yet little effort on more important things. Violent or sex offenders may be given early release.

Boycott those Parliamentary petitions if you need to boycott something. Don't boycott this consultation.
I really, strongly believe that boycotting the consultation is a bad idea. They have to see us fighting back. The public needs to see us fighting back. We need to see us fighting back! Especially when we know that the recent backlash against the EHRC HAS had a positive effect
I'm not saying we definitely shouldn't, but if we boycott the consultation, every subsequent legal challenge will be weaker.

Yes they will likely ignore our responses. But that's a fact we might want to be able to bring up in Court, to international human rights bodies, and to the Government.

The MPs speaking are hitting ALL the key pro-trans talking points:
- transphobic bias in EHRC
- nightmare of SC ruling
- toilet bans are awful
- must hear trans voices

There is a very tight deadline for them to get it published!

Let's make sure we flood it so much they miss it!
The EHRC are really going to try and rush this through

Remember when they forced us to have 3 whole consultations on the GRA Reform because the result kept supporting reforming it?

We are going to have to be so intense about this. Completely flooding it and also fighting against them rushing it
Update on this:

The consultation will now “aim to launch 19 May and close on 30 June 2025”

So it’s now six weeks instead of two.

This Pride Month let’s make our campaigning centred around contributing to this consultation.
