Okay, finished this and loved it. Skews more toward adventure than horror; cozy in a way which would make an excellent Studio Ghibli film.

A rare interview with the creators of the always-funny, always-brilliant, and *usually*-sexy—or occasionally anti-sexy—OGLAF!

Cooper has kept a low profile over the years, but is legitimately one of the very best artists in comics today. Read OGLAF if you're old enough to drive!
Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal
Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...

Loving today's news that the mysterious "fedora man" outside the Louvre heist was actually a 15-year-old museum visitor who dresses like a 1940s French detective all the time, just because. apnews.com/article/louv...

Thread, up and down. But especially this. Prompting the thought: *How many recipes* call for this step and we’ve never stopped to wonder why?
We have a waffle mix recipe from my Grandmother that is old enough that the first step is to scald the milk. My mom never knew why and then it hit me one time while I was making it that the recipe predated pasteurization.

I remember the already highly finished sketch for this cover coming through the fax machine (a long time ago, 1995). I was waiting for another entirely unrelated fax, I saw this cover slowly emerge and couldn’t believe how great it was, even though I did know the Dillons were amazing artists.

They're actively targeting creators who call in & banning them, making it even more important to call if you're a customer & not a creator

Tell them they shouldn't be dictating how you get to spend the money you put your blood, sweat, and tears into earning

I assure you that I don't need to be cautioned that LLMs are not sentient. That said, LLMs have the "bear-proof garbage can" quandary, which is that the apparent intelligence of the best LLMs significantly overlaps the actual intelligence of the most willfully stupid humans.
LLMs, the technology underpinning the current AI hype wave, don't do what they're usually presented as doing. They have no innate understanding, they do not think or reason, and they have no way of knowing if a response they provide is truthful or harmful.

Never decide in advance how long the story is going to be. The spirit of the story responds to boundaries like an absolute diva and WILL double the length with "fun suggestions ☺️"

Might as well get it out and figure out once it's done exactly which parts are most essential 🫡
I just realized the most obvious move but it requires extensive additional writing oh my gods please I need mercy
A huge chunk of my novella does not fit and needs to be rewritten but I do not know how yet
