Yup! They aren't always great offerings, but there's usually something interesting. I was surprised to see T Kingfisher on there, but once in a while there's a short story from Joe Hill or Guillermo Del Toro so like... Not out of the question to find something cool

When the Vulture Culture people talk about these practices, there's usually a lot of nitrile gloves and face masks and hydrogen peroxide involved -- equipment to protect from contamination for precisely those concerns. Safety first!

I have not dealt with this specific scenario, BUT when I have read of others doing it, it often involves burying the animal in some manner of cage so it can't be unearthed and dragged off. This might be a bit of an investment on one's time, personal space, and avoidance of neighborly attention.

Ooh, valid question! I have no idea; I'm in the US and it's still cowboy rules in a lot of places 😂

My first thought, too. If it's been out long enough for the flies to get at it, you can also find a secure patch of dirt to bury it in and let nature take its course; considerably less of an olfactory imposition.

It didn't capture how you sound in the *slightest*. I can't even imagine how it arrived at this. Zero empathy! Overbearing condescension!
