The new ABC CEO is the same Hugh Marks who hosted a $10,000 a head Liberal Party fundraiser at Nine's headquarters.

Wow.

We'll now have a middle-aged white male who supports conservative causes in charge of the ABC.

What a refreshing change.

I mean . . . I can hardly wait.

Brownie points to the first journo who points out that Dutton’s so-called ‘nuclear strategy’ is inspired by Trump whisperer Steve Bannon. “The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with s&*t. This is not about persuasion. This is about disorientation.”

Ah yes if I needed guidance on social cohesion, anti-racism & empathy, Rupert Murdoch & Andrew ‘foreign invasion’ Bolt would be my go-to. Who better than the masters of unity & nuance? Their legacy speaks for itself (mostly in lawsuits & headlines)
Today they visited burnt Adass Israel Synagogue.

Israel just killed Khaled Nabhan, who called his granddaughter Reem “the soul of his soul” in a viral CNN report after they slaughtered her last year. They shared a birthday - she would’ve turned 5 next week. This isn’t war it’s the erasure of families, memories & histories- with impunity.

Thinking today of the families of Myuran Sukumaran & Andrew Chan, who must welcome the news of the return of the Bali 5, but it must also hurt. I took this photo at Cilicap ferry terminal the night those men died as we waited. 10 years ago in April. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that grim night.

Australia is opposed to the death penalty. Mick Keelty was AFP commissioner at the time. Knowing their intentions, he supplied info to the Indonesian police knowing full well what it could lead to. Myuran Sukumaran & Andrew Chan were executed in 2015.

Frontier Economics farting out numbers to a compliant news.corp and AFR is a good reminder that many in the press gallery see their role to just regurgitate rather than report.

Those same journos also look down on PR flacks like they think they are any different

Lemme tell ya - it ain't just the kids
Rupert Murdoch tried and failed to cut 3 of his 4 children out of his will, and give it all to one child.

Now apparently they all want him dead.

As a Jewish woman living in Australia, I am far more likely to be attacked and murdered by a pathetic little man who feels somehow slighted than I am in danger of any antisemitic attack.

The imbalance in the responses to almost 100 dead women is very telling.

A joke of a party.
