Mother of young adult triplets. Worried for their future and frankly just trying to not give in to despair. I work at an animal shelter, foster kittens, and talk way too much about my cats.

Trump is gross for so many reasons. When you focus on his weight, I see your derision. Not for him, but for fat people.

BEING FAT IS NOT A MORAL FAILING.

Having a cat is so cool. There is a little creature in my bed who loves me and vibrates like a tiny motorcycle and is so fuzzy and wants to snuggle. How could I want anything else

SNAP is a lifeline for workers in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

I haven't met A SINGLE liberal/Progressive/Democrat who has said that anyone in the Epstein Files who is a Democrat should be protected or immune from any crimes they committed.

NOT. ONE.

That's the difference...among many others.

Hey @npr.org don’t tell us what Republican senators say about Trump administration actions like ending Afghan immigration, tell us what they do. Empty words by people with the power to act, that’s not news.

Chancellor Merz is right: Europe can no longer depend on America.

But he's wrong to say that America is pursuing its own interests.

Trump is pursuing his deranged and corrupt interests, not ours.

Teach a man who hates socialism and votes for authoritarianism to farm and he can receive socialist handouts for life from the government that bankrupted him in the first place.

I'm not an economist but I don't see how this doesn't end in economic collapse. 1. Deporting the labor force that maintains our basic necessities 2. Slashing funding for education, government, and healthcare 3. Massive layoffs across the private sector 4. Destroying relationships with allies.

Finland ended homelessness with a housing first strategy that gave people apartments before they secured employment

Now they’re proposing a 4 day work week and 6 hour work days

True work life balance

Meanwhile in the US, people work two jobs and can’t afford food or healthcare.

This is a very judgmental thing to say.
California Governor Gavin Newsom said on Thursday that the Democratic Party needed to be “more culturally normal” and “less judgmental.”

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

The whole field of Democratic Presidential candidates need to be vengeful. This needs to be the most aggressive field of Democratic candidates ever. Everyone should be about Reform and Justice. That’s all the debates should be about.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

ICE raids are cruel, inhumane, and do nothing to serve public safety.

My responsibility is to be the mayor to each and every person that calls this city their home. That includes millions of immigrants— of which I am one.

‘Medicare for All’ still big. “In a survey of 1,207 likely voters [from] Nov. 14–17, 2025, ...65% of voters [supported] a Medicare for All system, described as a ‘national health insurance program... that would cover [everyone] & replace... private health insurance...’" jacobin.com/2025/11/medi...
Medicare for All Disappeared. Its Popularity Didn’t.
The demand for Medicare for All went from the center of the discourse to political exile in record time. But the policy's popularity never faded. A new poll finds strong majority support for the neglected idea among Americans across the political spectrum.

Art. I of the Constitution gives Congress the power to make rules and regulations for the armed forces — including codes of discipline and strictures against following illegal orders. You can’t punish members of Congress for articulating those rules. Also protected by Speech and Debate Clause.

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me
