The actual finding here is that a huge percentage of the population believes things that are not true. Democrats objectively did not spend significant time on climate change or LGBTQ issues in the last election campaign.
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇

The US let the seeds of this fester for so long. This kind of expansion is what I wrote ONE LONG NIGHT to try to stop, but even thoughtful people had a hard time imagining what could happen. Someone from the Obama administration I interviewed a decade ago just sent me this article.

I’m sitting here this morning in central Texas, looking at pictures of missing girls, hearing from friends who lost homes, neighbors who lost family, seeing spots where my family has swum that are now wiped away… and people already swooping in and dividing with politics.
