Dear MSPs: Stage 3. Elections Bill. Make it so from 2027 onwards council vacancies are filled by co-option, with by-elections only for those elected as Independents vacating. "One local councillor" is not, never will be, and cannot be made a high-turnout occasion.

Had a really braw evening with some very old friends last night. As much as I sometimes resist peopling/connection, I do so often feel better for it. Remembering and enacting all my life lessons so far isn’t as easy as the books make it out! 😂🥰
