WIRED spoke with more than 200 federal workers in dozens of federal agencies to learn what happened as the Department of Government Efficiency tore through their offices.

This is the oral history of DOGE, as told by federal workers:
"This used to be the best job I’ve ever had, the best environment I’ve ever had, the best culture I’ve ever had—and they fucking ruined it.

I will never ever forget how much they ruined it."

The most sickeningly fascist people in the entire world. Bunch of ex-soldiers who want to commit a genocide

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
My head is going to explode. ICE is recruiting by pitching travel as one of the key perks of the job.

Like, travel *accompanying deportation flights.* Literally.

Don't let the bigots pathologize us.

Yes dysphoria kills. It sucks. Believe me, I know. But we are NOT our dysphoria and we are owed more than simply being trauma porn.

We deserve gender affirming care because we're human beings and bodily autonomy is a human right.

This is why I'm not a fan of open carry at protests.

First, threat assessment is impossible. It's bonkers and dangerous.

Second, open-carry at these protests tends to mean open-carry only by certain (⚪️⬜️⛄️) kinds of people, it's not safe for others.

It's just not a safe environment.

The armed, yellow-vested "peacekeepers" at the Utah 50501 protest in Salt Lake City opened fire into a crowd, hitting two people:

A Sāmoan fashion designer with two young kids, who died.

A second-generation Venezuelan immigrant and antiracist protester who was legally carrying. Cops charged HIM.

Success! ICE was forced to leave their hotel in the middle of the night after activists located where ICE was staying and surrounded the hotel with a noise demonstration. Hundreds of drivers joined in by blasting their horns as they drove by. Hotel management asked ICE to leave. #NoSleepForICE

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

If you want to prepare for a spicy summer

3M mask with extra filters. Ideally a full face respirator.

Soft body armor of some kind for impact munitions. Doesn't have to be ballistic.

Helmet. Can be ballistic. Can be bump. Even a bicycle helmet can save your life from a grenade.

Putting up a fierce fight at the opening of the poem is the way to stop the rest of the poem from coming true.

The fight for migrants and to stop ICE is the same fight as the fight to protect LGBT people (citizens or not), reproductive autonomy, and everyone else the fascists want to fuck with.

So you’re saying we could solve all the financial problems of 379 million of us and impact just 19 households. What an interesting fact. Fun little bit of trivia.
The 19 richest U.S. households saw a $1 trillion wealth increase in 2024, a rise that exceeds the size of Switzerland’s economy.

These 19 households now control $2.6 trillion in wealth — almost as much wealth as the bottom 50% of American households.

If this isn't an oligarchy, what is?
