Do not concede.

We have to fight for our unalienable rights as human beings. Do not let them distract and divide us. We must stand together for our democracy!

"Bluesky is awesome now, for how long?" I mean, look, all things change and end, we will all die, earth will be uninhabitable in a billion years, then the sun will expand and destroy the planet, and the universe will die a slow death of proton decay. But BEFORE THAT, let's make this place fun, okay?

Let's put aside the immorality of mass deportation.

So many Trump voters said they voted for him based on the economy:

Cost of mass deportation: $315 billion
Reduction of GDP: $4.7 trillion over a decade
Loss of tax revenue: $76.1 billion annually

Cost of voting for Trump: Immeasurable.

Advice from a Literature teacher and resister: read your history, but don’t forget your literature.

Resistance is woven through the words of abolitionism and feminism and anti-fascism. Read the history and the literature.

Reminder: When RFK Jr. was asked whether there were additional allegations of sexual assault against him, his response was that he "had a very rambunctious life."

Sexual assault in the Trump Administration/inner circle is a feature, not a bug.
My God, I had missed this about Pete Hegseth: he thinks that if someone passes out drunk, it isn’t rape to have sex with them. So… yay, guess I wasn’t raped in 2012.

Just in case there is any ambiguity: If you’re passed out, you cannot consent to sex. Absent affirmative consent, it’s sexual assault

Not only was this a pretty narrow win by Trump (and getting narrower as more ballots from CA are counted), thus calling into serious question the extent of the mandate, but “extinction level event” is language that should raise several alarm bells.
Trump’s top advisor says Trump has a mandate to assemble an “extinction level event.”
