The Kickstarter is done! Huge thanks to everyone who supported the project and made my next book possible. If you missed out, there’s still time to make a late pledge—but don’t procrastinate, the window for that is closing pretty soon.

wish I had something clever here but this is too personal. this fucking brutally ignorant asshole can't fuck off into the sun quickly enough.
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

OKAY while I'm on the topic one more thing about John Wick

Baba Yaga, an old woman who lives in a hut which has chicken legs, maybe wasn't exactly what the writers who apparently did not know about Wikipedia were hoping to convey

okay if I've got the end of John Wick 2/start of 3 timeline correctly:

5 pm in Central Park, Winston tells him he has one hour until he is excommunicado

He ... runs to Times Squre I guess?

Gets in a cab to go to NYPL, a three minute walk from Times Square, cab gets stuck in traffic

sure, he has changed the course of america, I don't think anyone denies this

the question is, if you're fucking stupid enough to believe that any of this is good, or ends well
Pirro: "Mr President, there is in this room a group of people who love you, who believe in you, and who are so proud to be in this Oval Office and to be part of this amazing day because you have changed the course of America."

I eat at this table. I’d rather Billy not sit on it. So we’ve reached a compromise: I’ll eat off a plate on my lap and he’ll sit wherever the fuck he wants. Cats always turn me into the Chuck Schumer of my own apartment.

Lots of people comparing Senate Democrats to Charlie Brown trying to kick the football, but that analogy only works in a version where Lucy has told Charlie Brown she's going to pull it away, and also that afterwards she's going to have Snoopy executed in a foreign prison

You can tell that Senate Democrats know they made an awesome deal because they sprang it on us on a Sunday afternoon and then raced it through that same night.

I was reading the calendar wrong, the actual eighth anniversary is next weekend. Which is also the fourth anniversary of my father's death. Wheeeee.
Oh wow happy 8th anniversary of the worst day of my life to all who celebrate

Only thought of this bc thinking about insurance, and how it was easier for me when married. Happy to say it doesn't haunt me quite like it once did.

Still no sure which of these sad sacks was most pathetic in "explaining" the cave in.

So far, I think it's a tie between King, and Hassan.

(But unfair contest, because we didn't get to hear from Fetterman or Durbin.)
Not a political consultant but I’m not sure “standing up to trump doesn’t work” is the best midterm message, even if if accurately represents senate dems position. Not much point in putting you in power then bsky.app/profile/atru...
