When he was arrested in early 2021, Ian Rogers — a white, conservative man in his 40s — had dozens of guns and a plan to ignite civil war. Rogers’ radicalization didn’t happen in a vacuum. His indoctrination can be traced back to his 21st birthday, when he bought his first gun.
White, Legally Armed, and Primed for Political Violence
Ian Rogers was convinced it was up to him to save America. The gun industry’s sales tactics may be creating a pipeline of extremists willing to open fire.

Trump’s Global Gulag Search Expands to 53 Nations

The Trump administration is seeking deals with more and more nations -- one third of the countries on the planet -- to hold deportees — now with the blessing of the Supreme Court.

Shout out to my brave wife and all around amazing person who wrote about her extremely difficult post-partum experience — and why women’s health should be taken far more seriously than it is www.thenation.com/article/soci...
Giving Birth Almost Killed Me. Pregnancy Shouldn’t Be So Dangerous.
Every year, tens of thousands of women bleed to death after having a baby. Cuts to aid and attacks on reproductive rights will make postpartum complications even more deadly.

This is the slap back to Stephen Miller’s “arrest everyone” madness. And an admission that Trump is under pressure from multiple industries that rely on migrant workers.

This is huge and important. Keep amplifying the harm done by the Trump/Miller zealous, cruel overreach. Don’t bury this.
BREAKING: The decision suggested that the scale of President Trump’s mass deportation campaign — an issue that is at the heart of his presidency — is hurting industries and constituencies that he does not want to lose.

In over 99.5 percent of protest events in April and May, we recorded no injuries, arrests, or property damage — an unprecedentedly tiny fraction for a movement of this size and geographic dispersion.

This is a map of Los Angeles. The arrow points to a red dot. That red dot (roughly) represents the protest area seen on TV.

To me, the gross mischaracterization of what’s happening in Los Angeles looks like an excuse to deploy the military—to protect government assets like ICE.

Trump has federalized at least 2,000 National Guard forces and reportedly plans to deploy troops to Los Angeles over Governor Newsom’s objections. If that happens, it will be the first time since 1965 that a president has sent troops into a state without a state request. 1/19

Arguably 300,000 wholly preventable, gratuitous deaths already from gutting USAID.

If this ends up basically banning vaccines, how many thousands more preventable gratuitous deaths?

And almost all of children.

Death of children, simply everywhere.

Such an important point that gets at the utter uselessness of political fatalism right now — and frankly any effort that uses the horrors of the American past to predetermine our collective fates
Note that Tom Homan has personally threatened both Gavin Newsom and AOC and then quickly backed down when they dared him to make good on his threats. These people only have brute intimidation, and if it fails then they don't know what to do.
what i see is a white house whose ambitions outstrip its resources, who did not count on facing mass resistance, and which is scrambling to escalate the situation in hopes that a display of force will make people shut up

Prime example of utter mediocrity condescending to intelligence
HAWLEY: Let's see the Trump chart. You don't think it's a little bit anomalous that Trump has so many more nationwide injunctions against him?

KATE SHAW: A very plausible explanation you have to consider is that he's engaged in much more lawless activity than other presidents

So here I argue that ICE is a secret police force in the making, which is not a claim I make lightly.

This is profoundly, the most disturbing story I've ever read. Elon Musk believes his children are a legion and he needs to make as many babies as possible before the apocalypse.

He has a breeding fetish mixed with a messianic doomsday cult obsession.
