I'm a husband and father. I'm a higher ed administrator. I also care about politics, music, running, ChiSox, Hawkeyes, Blackhawks, and Tottenham.
This is mind blowing. And yet it probably shouldn’t be.

Probably because it was 7th Grade and because pop radio was such an important thing then, but I can sing all 20 of these songs.

I'm not proud.

Navy would go on to beat UConn 21-3. The following week, Navy would lose 70-14 to Michigan. Navy went 4-7 in 1976, and despite young Ferentz's words, was not a good football team. Yes, it was early-onset coach speak.
It appears Kirk Ferentz has always been a master of coach speak ...

The #Hawkeyes head coach was NOT giving Navy any bulletin board material in 1976!

The Republican Party has transitioned from the threat of Jewish Space Lasers to Chinese Baby Monitors. bsky.app/profile/atru...
HINSON: As a mom, I think about watching a baby monitor. That's a very intimate moment with your baby and to think the Chinese could be spying on your morning routine

BARTIROMO: Why are they spying on moms?

HINSON: They just want to know what Americans are up to to undermine our way of life

I have always appreciated the writers who would be fair. They didn’t pander. They didn’t sugar coat. They didn’t take cheap shots. That is how I have always thought of Mike Hlas. I hope my time reading him continues.
Hlas column: The journey really does matter more than the destination, and the people are more important than the scoreboard. A personal story as the final football game I cover at Kinnick Stadium for the Gazette nears. www.thegazette.com/sports/my-fi...
My first football interview was with a hitchhiking receiver. Now my ride here ends.
The journey really does matter more than the destination, and the people are more important than the scoreboard.

It’s not just that the directors suck. What is the director doing? This is atrocious for ESPN.

Put Heiden on the low block. Stop trying to have her play in the high post.

Fun Family Experiment for Thanksgiving for those of you with MAGA family members.

1. Ask them what they think of Mamdani.
2. Tell them that New York City will be teaching its elementary and high school students math using Arabic numerals

Watch their heads explode.

Then break it to them.

Fox guest on how to save money during the holidays:

Iowa with a positive defensive rating? In basketball???
Nice to see some different logos appearing towards best territory. Gonna be interested in tracking their progress & whether teams like George Washington & Santa Clara can maintain. If UCSB starts guarding people...

Would have loved to see Akron's📌 before they faced Purdue

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

It’s not fair. It was the greatest year in music history. You could have a second four that beats most other years.

You know why Ole Miss missed it last year? It lost to Kentucky.

You know why Alabama missed it last year? It lost to a mid Oklahoma squad.

Want to know why Texas will miss it this year? It lost to a garbage Florida team. That's the killer. Not tonight and not scheduling OSU.

@scottdochterman.bsky.social @chadleistikow.bsky.social I know that we keep wanting this to be 2008. But maybe the better comp is 2013. Another team that KF liked a lot, but it just wasn’t good enough to beat the good teams it played.

I realize football may be of much lesser importance to potential disasters.

But a grass field that isn’t the kind that’s designed for bad weather games (like Lambeau is) is going to be a mud pit by the 4th quarter.
LA Times: holy cow Hawkeyes, we’re bringing rain, storms even a possible tornado 😲
