"They are so convinced their politics isn’t really politics, but just some default setting shared with much of the country..."

True of so many commentators on the Right.
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

It's organised by an independent group called Manchester Stands With Sudan. I have seen some City fans voicing concerns about this, though. I think we are only just starting to see wider awareness on this issue, so see what happens at future games.

“…What do I want from COP30? I want leaders who will look their children in the eye and say: We chose courage. We stopped subsidising destruction. We stood with the global majority who did not cause this crisis...” - Zack Polanski

Yes! Exactly! Well said, Zack
Let's stop subsidising destruction.

This Govenrment need to stop standing on the side of polluters and instead tackle the cost of living crisis.

I really wish every time someone complained of left wing bias in something they were asked the question:

'OK, what would this be like without left-wing bias? What would you leave out and what would you put in instead?'

Because that'd be a very good measure of what they actually mean.

The US economy has become one big bet on AI.

It’s not just that investment in AI has inflated a bubble – it’s that the bubble is driving wealth inequality, and billions of dollars of conspicuous consumption.

In other words, we’re living in a new gilded age.

Panorama made a stupid editing mistake. But compare this to the deliberate and systemic attempt, sustained across years, to ensure that BBC output aligns ever more closely to the demands of economic power. Against your straw of bias, I raise you a haystack.
